REP OUTSIDE IN DESIGN STUDIO
The intention behind creating these handmade t-shirts is to offer merchandise that resonates with our friends and family. Instead of opting for mass-produced screen-printed shirts, we felt a strong desire to craft each piece personally, embracing the creative process of designing them. By wearing these shirts, we want our friends to feel proud to represent and support OIDS, initiating conversations and expanding our network through word-of-mouth referrals.
The pricing structure is on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale based on preferences and financial capacity. The options are as follows: $20 for those who don't mind minor imperfections or have a limited budget; $35, which covers our production costs; and $45, providing a little extra to support OIDS, such as funding our retreats, AIGA memberships, and other team expenses.
All of the shirts were thrifted or donated. We purchased supplies like ink, printing equipment, and sewing materials. Hannah spent an estimated 10-15 hours of labor hand-sewing and printing the shirts herself. Our break-even goal is to sell all the shirts at an average price of $35.
Please understand that there is a limited supply of shirts, and each shirt is unique. If there is continued interest after supplies run out, maybe we'll make more!
